3 Faces of Heath Ledger

WHEN artist Vincent Fantauzzo arrived at Heath Ledger's family home in Perth last December, Ledger's mother made coffee and pikelets to fuel the portrait session between the men.
Ledger was relaxed and happy and a homely vibe was in the air as actor and artist became absorbed in their sitting.
But Fantauzzo's resultant painting of the late actor projects an entirely different feel.
Ledger appears three times in the painting, which is titled Heath. In the central figure, he looks haunted and intense. On either side, he whispers secretively to himself from behind a shielding hand. read more about the artist and his masterpiece

I, for one, love this piece. I really want to blow it up and hang it on my wall. R.I.P. Mr. Ledger.

Sometimes I just Want to Hide...

and this is the perfect chair for me!

The Sensory Deprivation Skull is a chamber of sorts in which you can sit and essentially cut yourself off from the world.

Created in 2007 by Joep van Lieshout of Atelier Van Lieshout, it's comprised of reinforced fiberglass, measures 150 cm tall by 110 cm long and 137 cm wide and is available in a limited edition of 10.

so how much is this great creation? Well I can't seem to find a price on it but being that there are only 10 of those bad boys... I would say its at least a grand...BBOOO!

Just hand me my Ipod, a pizza, a pen and paper and I am good to go...oh yeah...a light would help too!

I Wonder How Much It Is a Night?

Each of the Hote Puerta America's 12 floors - from the elevator lobbies down to the blankets and bathrobes - has been conceived by powerhouse architects and design studios, among them Arata Isozaki, Norman Foster, Marc Newson, Ron Arad, Richard Gluckman, Javier Mariscal, Victorio & Lucchino and Zaha Hadid. With public spaces like the Black Tears restaurant designed by Christian Liaigre and the underground garage by Teresa Sapey, the Puerta América can bill itself as “12 floors with 19 stars.”

Even When You Think You Have Someone...

This piece really stuck out to me...You see the man holding her, and his face although you can't see all of it the very bit that you can see shows you a feeling. what is that? Yearning, Pain, Love? I think its all three. It seems to be that he loves her but she loves another.

NYC and all of its wonders!

From the inventive minds of Sao Paulo street artists..."for at least a year, a few enterprising young artists who post under the Fotolog name 6emeia have been beautifying the city’s storm sewer openings with their cute and clever cartoon paintings"...

Metropolitan Museum of Art also known as the Met. Above is the Temple of Dendur exhibit. A 15 B.C. Nubian temple given to the museum by Egypt, and installed in a beautifully designed modern space with a massive reflecting pool and sloping wall behind it that represents its original location.

Tribute to Heath Ledger

Dave White is the artist of this painting. He finished up this piece as a tribute to Heath Ledger who passed away prior to the release of the hottest blockbuster movie of the Summer, Batman: The Dark Knight. Heath’s performance as the Joker led Dave to paint this piece that will be a part of a larger Dave White show in September.

I Want These on my Walls!

Takashi Murakamin earned the slot of the lone visual artist on Time Magazine's 2008 list of Top 100 Influential People.

Murakamin has a huge following on his graphic works of manga and anime. However, the artist changes gears with 8 paintings that deviate from his well known style to a more abstract direction.
